FEDS: Beazley supports additional troops to Solomons
The federal opposition has welcomed the sending of more troops to the Solomon Islands.
Labor leader KIM BEAZLEY says he had thought extra forces would be needed .. when the
government made its previous deployment on Wednesday.
The prime minister's announced today .. Australia will send an extra 110 troops to
the Solomons .. on top of the 110 troops and 70 officers sent on Wednesday night .. following
riots in the capital .. Honiara.
